Tattoo designs, such as clothing and music change over time. The last thing now is not necessarily what the celebrities are using them as more people go beyond your tattoo ideas. Sometimes the number of tattoos guys out there makes it harder to decide.

If you are not in the superhero geek tattoo ideas then perhaps a Polynesian tribal tattoo will be good. Celtic crosses and designs Tribal were great 10 years ago but have been replaced by other more obscure tribal designs, like the excellent Polynesian tattoos and leg tattoos Mouri face.
If you're more in Oriental art getting a tattoo then Japan could be the way forward – more accurately known as Irezumi. Irezumi Tattoos are brightly colored with incredible detail. It was common practice in Japan to save the skin of people who had designed especially good Irezumi. Tattoos Irezumi were made by teachers who had trained as apprentices for decades so the quality is impressive. The modern day tattoo artists can create some designs Irezumi immense and never fails to impress the ladies.
China also has some interesting ideas for children including Chinese dragons mounted on the forearm, which was a style used during the Chinese Boxer Rebellion. Your local tattoo studio will have a selection of examples to choose from.
